My paintings are my memories.

Each moment and the way it is retained is at the mercy of the individual. Each painting is rooted in a specific moment or event, but inevitably invention occurs. Some pieces are exaggerated, other pieces disappear. What remains- what is mine- is no longer historical fact, but rather the representation of an individualized experience, the form of a memory.

To me, this is what a memory looks like.
